Richardson Hall
Richardson House entrance hall, photo by Van Jones Martin
The Richardson entranceway is framed by a screen with two Corinthian columns. Behind them is a stairway that rises to a landing and then splits with one stair against each side of the hall.

"The stair is magnificently detailed with both mahogany rail and treads inlaid with brass, and the balusters are of wrought iron. This is undoubtedly the most sumptous stair of the period in America."
